John Kempe is an Executive Consultant at Rekon Group, where he works with executive teams on strategy, business development and leading major projects, and coaches senior leaders. He has worked with Rekon since 2024.
John has more than two decades of executive leadership in the energy and resources sector. He was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Technip and TechnipFMC from 2012 to 2019, where his team won contract packages worth between US$10 million and US$500 million. He was Chief Executive Officer of Offshore Marine Services from 2010 to 2012, a global marine and offshore services business with 120 staff, 2,000 offshore crew and annual revenue of more than US$400 million. Earlier, he was General Manager of Toll Energy.
He began his career in the Australian Defence Force, where he commanded the 1st Commando Regiment.
